It is quite incomprehensible to me that Thompson Parish Council, who are supposed to represent the views of villagers and Pockthorpe Lane residents, would risk supporting an order which could result in motorbikes and off road vehicles using a narrow lane past residential houses. The road would be bulldozed through meadows and woods and take traffic both ways.
The following is an extract from Thompson Parish Council minutes February 2020.
Public inquiry – Norfolk County Council (Thompson, Pockthorpe Lane). April 2020
“A Sub-committee has been set up consisting of Cllrs. Kaye, Welch, Shovelar and Geoff Winslow and Bronwen Tyler. The approach is to support the NCC submission. The sub-committee felt that they had other documents that could support the application. These will be sent to the Planning Inspectorate by the relevant deadline. No update from Cllr. Eagle saying the PC were better informed that he was.“
To do this with NO opportunity for villagers and residents to discuss or ask questions Is in my own opinion quite unforgivable.
